Windies fast bowler Jayden Seales talks goals and why he started playing cricket

When young West Indies cricket fast bowler Jayden Seales gets an opportunity to play in his first One Day International, you won’t hear him say he wants to get five wickets. “I tend to set very realistic goals. I am not one to say I am going to get a dream debut,” said the 20 year old right arm fast medium pacer from Trinidad & Tobago. Seales was the guest at Cricket West Indies’ (CWI’s) press conference on 6th January 2022.

Jayden Seales made his Test debut on 6 June 2021, for the West Indies against South Africa and so far, looks like he has a promising career ahead of him, in all formats of the game. During the just concluded truncated CG Insurance One Day International (ODI) series against Ireland, Seales watched from the sidelines as West Indies lost 2 matches to hand Ireland a 2-1 series win at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

In the press conference, he talks about the goals he will set when he plays his first ODI, who is his biggest inspiration, why he started playing cricket and much more.
