The West Indies men team continued their preparation for the forthcoming series against the South Africans. At the end of Monday’s practice match, WI Best Captain Jermaine Blackwood had top scored with 85 runs off 125 balls, with opening batsman Shai Hope following closely, scoring 79 off 88 balls. In reply, WI Best B lost 4 wickets for their 44 runs, in a rain affected day.

According to Cricket West Indies, this“Best v Best” match is part of the ‘Men in Maroon’s’ intense preparations for the upcoming Test Series against South Africa.
This is the culmination of two weeks of high-level training and is the only competitive action they will have before the squad is selected to take on the Proteas. The players have been in camp in St. Lucia since Sunday, May 16. The first test begins on June 10 at the same venue in St Lucia.
